The Ansair Flxible Clipper , used on all interstate express services throuought Australia, was first imported from the USA by Pioneer Tours in 1948 from the USA based Flxible Company. Shortly afterwhich Ansiar Pty Ltd in Melbourne obtained a license from Flxible to build the Clipper in Australia. The Ansair Clipper was built to the same high standards as the US versions using duplicated dies and tooling and by mid 1960 131 of the right hand drive versions of these coaches were built.

The Flxible Clipper Club of Austrailia founded in 1983 was formed to bring together owners and people intrested in the Ansair-Flxible Clipper, with restoration and preservation of these unique vehicles their prime objective. To date there are over 40 Ansair Clippers in the Club and membership is growing.

Although FOI and The Flxible Clipper Club of Australia are non affiliated we share a common intrest in both our memberships and those wonderful Flxible coaches. This area of the FOI website is dedicated to Ansair Flxible owners and enthusiasts who would like to share photos and information.
