THE CUSTOM BUILT FLXIBLE LAND CRUISER was far ahead of it's time with a freedom of travel never before experienced. Completely outfited for away from home living or mobile office or business with all the facilities usable while enroute or parked at a site. Built as a unit on it's own chassis meant assured protection, convienience, reliability and added safety. The coach was completly self contained with it's own motor driven 110 volt electrical system, air conditioning, hot and cold runing water, complete electric galley with refrigerator, fresh store locker and shower with toilet facilities. The spacious accommodations could comfortably sleep six with full size bunks with thick inner spring matteresses not to mention ample wardrobe space in the built in closets for the overnight or cross country trip. Also featured was rear storage along with front and rear exits for added safety. The coach could be custom designed for just about any special need, business or pleasure. Several businesses had these coaches built as their on the road office away from the main office. Average cost was about the same as a 40 foot yacht which in those days was 25 to 30,000 dollars. A tidy sum even in todays market... |
